Bruce and the band played an impromptu gig following a Southside Johnny gig. The concert started around 12:30 AM. Many more songs were played, and there was a set break according to an attendee. "Knock on Wood" was done as a duet with Southside Johnny. Two days prior to this, Bruce was informed by manager Mike Appel that he would not allow Jon Landau to produce the next album. Bruce sued Appel, who counter-sued in response. Bruce could not record for over a year, and this led to the so-called "Lawsuit Tour".
